The Miriam Project

In 2004 a group of scholars, primarily from the Wesleyan/Holiness tradition banded together, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Susie Stanley and Rev. Dr. Jeanne Serrão.

The project is co-sponsored by the Women in Ministry Initiative (Messiah College) and the Wesleyan/Holiness Women Clergy, Intl. and funded by The Lilly Foundation.

The group examined the attitudes on Christian college campuses toward women in ministry. Noting the difficulties and barriers many of the scholars experienced and observed in their own settings, they set about creating a cross-disciplinary curriculum (including resources).

What resulted is a book with a CDRom full of creative and challenging lesson plans intended for use in a general education curriculum.
