"...There is Ministry"
"...There is Hope"The Rev. Mary Jane Davis has been a staff member at Grantham Brethren in Christ Church in Grantham, Pennsylvania, for 17 years, where her ministry has spanned all ages from birth through senior adults. She is currently the associate pastor for congregational care and an adjunct professor at Messiah College in the Biblical and Religious Studies department. A graduate of Lebanon Valley College and Millersville University, she has also completed work in spiritual formation at Princeton Seminary. She recently completed a six-month sabbatical, serving with the Church of the Nazarene in Sighisoara, Romania, where she taught a ministries course and worked in a gypsy village. She is the mother of two young adult daughters.
"...There is Power"The Rev. Robin Smith is a dynamic preacher whose audiences are challenged and empowered by her biblical and practical preaching. An ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, she was in full-time local church ministry for fourteen years before entering higher education. Currently Professor of Christian Ministry at George Fox Evangelical Seminary in Newburg, Oregon, she has been evaluated by her students as an outstanding teacher and mentor to women and men studying for the ministry. She speaks frequently at conferences and retreats as well as in local churches. She and her husband Len are the parents of two grown sons.
"...There is Freedom"The Rev. Linda Adams is an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church. She is pastor of New Hope Free Methodist Church, an exciting eleven-year-old urban church in Rochester, New York, and adjunct professor of preaching at Northeastern Seminary. Linda loves the contemporary worship and the wonderful variety of the culturally diverse congregation. She also loves music and plays keyboard in the band at the church "for the sheer love of it." She and her husband, John Carter Adams, live in Rochester and have a son and a daughter.
The Rev. Dr. Diana Swoope is Associate Pastor of the Arlington Church of God in Akron, Ohio, where she has been on staff since 1981. An eloquent and energetic preacher, she is in international demand. Her concern for young people has led her to begin many innovative programs for youth in the community as well as the church, for which she has received many commendations. Dr. Swoope co-founded the Arlington Christian Academy, a chartered elementary school for which she currently serves as Principal. An ordained Church of God minister, she has published three books and numerous articles. She and her husband Lawrence have three children.
